Plant Metabolism

Springborn's Plant Metabolism studies involve analysis of plant raw agricultural commodities for total residues. Our scientists measure the residues of parent and metabolites by radiochemical detection. We test crops that are identified for treatment with agrichemicals, to determine the metabolic pathway and changes in residue levels with time. Test phases include in-life (treatment of crops and harvest) and analytical. Analysis points are harvest intervals as determined by use.

Our tests are conducted in greenhouses located at our testing facilities, or with field cooperators in warmer climates, such as California or Georgia.
